It is highly contagious and more than 50% of all children up to the age of one year have already been exposed to the virus.
RSV affects the epithelial cells of the upper respiratory tract and can cause mild symptoms that are often indistinguishable from the common cold. 75% of infections in infants present as rhinitis or nasopharyngitis, while complications such as otitis may be observed.

We did the test on our 14-month-old child and it came out positive for COVID. Even though the child does not have intense symptoms. Just a bit cranky and some low fever, that's why we did the test to see what it could be. I will definitely buy the test again. Because we had some other tests that showed nothing even though we were definitely positive for COVID.
