The Simonis X-1 works with the static electricity generated by the capillary texture of its surface. With a quick motion over the felt and without pressure, it is capable of absorbing any trace of chalk without causing problems on the felt.

The surface of the Simonis X-1 remains in excellent condition. It requires about half a chalk (in powder on the felt) to stop its absorbency, and then cleaning is required with a vacuum cleaner or a light shake (hit) with the hand on a stable point to release the chalk from its surface.

Important: We do not hit it forcefully on a hard surface and do not use any cleaning liquid (on the felt or the X-1) before or during cleaning with the Simonis X-1. Cleaning liquid can be used after cleaning with the Simonis X-1.

Additionally, note that the coloring from the chalk will remain on the felt even after cleaning, which is normal and in no way reduces the effectiveness of the Simonis X-1.

With its curved non-slip handle, it can be placed even under the cushions without causing any problems to them.
