The book constitutes a tentative (...perhaps inappropriate;) essayistic effort to contribute to achieving a better/more qualitative way of living = a "Dignified Life".
Readers are invited – not to embrace but – to consider the opinions presented, to activate their critical thinking, so as to form their own personal opinion/choice. That is the goal.
Sisyphusian (and individualized) is the human struggle to tame his monstrous instincts. That is, the causes of his endless woes. Improving our lives is imperative/necessary, focusing primarily on the "Human" factor.
In any case, the goal of a "Dignified Life" is difficult to achieve. It presupposes a lifelong struggle for self-improvement.
I believe that, as far as I am concerned, I have not achieved it to the extent I would desire. But I am comforted by the fact that I have consciously pursued it (and... continue to do so).
I insist on each person's obligation to reflect lifelong; otherwise, they will not succeed in achieving the WORTHY GOALS: development, refinement, inner peace, happiness. (In other words: the desirable AIMS). To steer their life's course, thinking rightly.
They must choose exactly what they want to be: thoughtful or to remain problematic!.
