The Pulsar Krypton 79206 thermal attachment connects to an adapter with a four-point quick-release bayonet, with no special tools required. The adapter is secured to the day optic’s lens with a retaining clip, while the attachment’s display position within the field of view is adjusted using a dedicated mechanical component. The attachment can be quickly transferred from one adapter to another.

The adapter body is machined from aluminum alloy, while the screws, retaining clip and pins are made of steel. The adapter’s operation is unaffected by significant temperature changes and remains reliable in severe frost, without requiring adjustment when installed indoors. The PSP 42B insert has an internal diameter of 45.5 mm and is suitable for objective lens housings with an external diameter of 46–47.6 mm.
