The digital compact camera is waterproof up to a depth of 14 meters, shock-resistant for drops up to 1.6 meters, and frost-resistant at temperatures down to -10°C. This makes it a reliable companion on adventures where ordinary cameras are better kept protected.

Heavy-duty construction ensures underwater use at 14 meters, for up to two hours of continuous operation

The compact, airtight body of the WG-90 is not only waterproof to a depth of 14 meters for up to two hours of continuous operation (equivalent to IPX 8 or JIS Class 8), but it is also resistant to drops from a height of 1.6 meters, dust (equivalent to IP6X or JIS Class 6), frost at temperatures down to -10°C, and crush-resistant to weights up to 100 kgf (kilogram-force). Thanks to this heavy-duty construction, the WG-90 performs exceptionally and reliably even in harsh, demanding outdoor conditions.

Excellent Image Quality

The WG-90 is equipped with a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, which ensures excellent high-sensitivity and low-noise characteristics and high-speed reading of image data signals. Combined with a high-performance imaging engine, this image sensor offers top ISO 6400 sensitivity and ultra-high-resolution images with approximately 16.0 effective MP. It also provides advanced image processing functions, made possible by super-resolution technology, to deliver sharper, clearer high-resolution images.

It even offers innovative shooting features, such as the Handheld Night Snap function, which automatically produces a single composite image without blur by using multiple images of the same night scene.

5X Optical Zoom Lens with 28 mm Wide-Angle Coverage

The WG-90 features a high-performance five-times optical zoom lens with a focal length coverage from 5 mm to 25 mm (equivalent to approximately 28 mm to 140 mm in 35 mm format) to accommodate a wide range of scenes and subjects, such as landscapes. It also provides other user-friendly shooting functions, such as the Intelligent Zoom function that extends the zoom range by approximately 36 times (equivalent to 1008 mm in 35 mm format) for ultra-high magnification telephoto photography without compromising image quality and an interval shooting function that is useful for fixed-point photography.
