Description

The story of Ballantine's begins in 1827, when George Ballantine started offering selected whiskies from his shop in Edinburgh, Scotland. He continued by creating his own production, a whisky that was perfected over time, resulting in Queen Victoria awarding him the highest quality distinction in 1895. With a deep golden color, vanilla and oak barrel aroma, and a creamy texture, Ballantine's expresses the ideal balance of flavors between vanilla, wood, and honey, with a refreshing finish that leaves a salty aftertaste.

For its price, it is one of the most reliable and honest choices. It has a very nice aroma that I rarely encounter in other whiskies of the same category. Its taste is fruity, relatively sweet, and personally, I feel it leaves a vanilla aftertaste. However, the taste disappears relatively quickly and the "alcohol taste" appears, which is not in a prohibitive degree. I would say it is expected for their price range. In conclusion, it is definitely above the average of its category. For everyday use, it is definitely one of the best choices

You won't find anything better at this price. With 3-4 euros more, you can get Bushmills, which, for me, is a whiskey that belongs in the 30-40 euro category. However, for this money, there is nothing better. Instead of getting Johnnie Walker Red or even Black, get Ballantine's. I bought it because I wanted something cheap, and it really is the best value for money after Bushmills. Obviously, don't expect anything extreme, but it has a nice aftertaste and is easy and enjoyable to drink. It pairs very nicely with chocolate with a high cocoa content. Overall, if you want to spend the minimum for a whiskey, don't look any further, get this one.

A whisky that you understand the fruity texture and sweet notes in the taste, but they quickly disappear and leave a relatively harsh alcohol sensation. Good overall, but personally I prefer others at this price.

Balanced whiskey that leaves a sweet aftertaste. It is not as alcoholic as Red Label, but there are better options at its price.

For the price range of Jack Daniel's and below... it is the best whiskey by far...!!! My favorite drink... I almost finish a bottle per week to relax in the evenings at home... I just hope I don't end up being an alcoholic in the end :)
