The right-hand Type N flute has ground cutting edges and straight grinding, without web thinning. Its surface has an oxide coating, which reduces friction and the risk of chips sticking. It is intended for general applications in carbon and low-alloy structural steels, as well as cast steel with tensile strength Rm, in accordance with DIN 338.
