Description & Specifications

The Artpol drill bit, with a diameter of 15 mm, is designed for drilling metal. It has an M35 high-speed steel body with a 5% cobalt alloy. The 135° point angle and split-point correction provide self-centering properties, eliminating the need for center punching or pre-drilling. It is a right-hand, type N twist drill with fully ground cutting edges and a cylindrical shank.

Its hardness is 66° HRC (±1°), and it has an h8 diameter tolerance. Chemical heat treatment and grinding of the two cutting lips reduce wear and increase resistance to internal stresses during use. It is designed for industrial machining of alloy and carbon steels with tensile strength up to 900 N/mm², stainless, acid-resistant and heat-resistant steels, grey cast iron, cast steel, titanium and titanium alloys. Coolant is required. For stable operation, use with a drill stand, pillar drill, lathe chuck or milling head is recommended.
