The Artpol HSS drill bit has an extended body for drilling metal and is made from 4241 high-speed steel. Its right-hand Type N spiral design and 118° point angle are suitable for workshop applications in alloy and carbon steels with a tensile strength of up to 900 N/mm², as well as grey and ductile cast iron, sintered iron, non-ferrous metals and hardened plastics.

It has a cylindrical shank, standard point grinding without web thinning, and an oxide-coated surface. Using a coolant, such as drilling emulsion, lubricating and cooling oil, or ester oil, is recommended, as it helps extend the drill bit’s service life.
