The SpitiBazaar SD-455 mattress protector is terry towelling and waterproof, with a jersey fabric skirt and elasticated edges for a secure fit. The outer fabric is made of 80% cotton and 20% polyester, while the inside contains hypoallergenic PTU material. The micropores allow airflow, and the quilted stitching keeps the polyester fibres in place, maintaining an even surface during everyday use.

It protects the mattress from spills, dust, sweat and stains. Machine wash at up to 40 °C without chlorine bleach. It can be ironed and tumble dried at a medium temperature. Do not dry clean.
