    I recently bought the GHD and have already done the first straightening. Before the GHD, I used the Steampod for about 5 years and, comparatively, I think the Steampod is by far better.

    Positives:
    • Heats up very quickly.
    • The plates glide smoothly over the hair.
    • The constant temperature at 185°C probably protects the hair from overheating.

    Negatives:
    • I have curly, frizzy hair and I need about 3 slow passes to get it really straight.
    • The result is straight, but not "pin-straight." I have achieved a similar result with more affordable straighteners around €100.

    Conclusion:
    For its price, I expected a more immediate and more "perfect" result. I will return in a few months when I have a more complete opinion.
