The Lindy HDMI Extender 38340 extends HDMI signals over Cat.6 network cable for distances of up to 100 m and supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD at 60 Hz. It supports HDR for content with greater brightness, stronger contrast and a wider colour gamut. The HDBaseT connection includes transmission of audio and IR and RS-232 control signals.
ARC support returns audio from the display to an amplifier or soundbar, while local audio extraction allows audio outputs to be connected for multichannel playback. Digital audio from the source can also be embedded at the receiver, selectable using the button on the main unit. Power over Cable (PoC) transmits power and data over Cat.6, so a power supply is required only at the transmitter.
The bidirectional IR ports allow the source to be controlled from the display end and the display to be controlled from the source end. CEC control is also supported, while the bidirectional RS-232 and Ethernet ports allow connection to control systems, network switches and hubs with LAN access. The power supply connects via a DC plug with a screw-locking mechanism.
