The Extralink EX.14671 PoE+ injector transmits power over CAT5e, CAT6 or CAT6A Ethernet cable on 10/100/1000 Mbps networks. It accepts 10–30 V power via a 5.5/2.1 mm DC jack or through pins 4,5 (+) and 7,8 (−) of the RJ45 plug, and delivers a 48 V output. When powered via the DC jack, the power is isolated from the male RJ45 plug, allowing it to be connected to a switch or router.

The 48 V output is supplied on pins 3,6 (+) and 1,2 (−) of the female RJ45 port to power 802.3af devices. The injector also supports power from a 12 V or 24 V battery and 10–30 V passive PoE.
