I have had it for about two months without any problems. I got it mainly for the built-in VPN, but I haven't gotten around to setting it up yet. I have placed it in a small space, so I don't have an opinion about the WiFi range, but it seems satisfactory. So far, I am very satisfied.

Used as mesh on top of the provider's device. Relatively easy to set up because you need to install the latest firmware and from there you do everything from the app, even if you are on another network. I did not encounter any issues with coverage in the 100sqm space, the VPN is set up very easily and you can activate it individually for any device you want through the app.

Δεν αντιμετώπισα κανένα θέμα με την κάλυψη του χώρου στα 100τμ, το vpn στήνεται πολύ εύκολα και μπορείς να το ενεργοποιείς μεμονωμένα για όποια συσκευή θέλεις μέσω της εφαρμογής.

So, because I was on the verge of breaking it, I'm leaving my review here to prevent bad situations and help as much as possible. I bought two pieces together; if I had bought one, I definitely wouldn't have bought a second due to the huge hassle with the updates that you absolutely have to do manually to activate the VPN and the other important features it offers. In VPN mode with WireGuard (it doesn't have Open), it's mediocre, with a speed of 120-150mbps, I usually get 30-35mbps and a maximum of 55mbps, while with the VPN client, I almost reach the line speed. The other features it offers are more than enough even for demanding users. Now to the point! To do the updates, initially connect the device with Ethernet and not with WiFi; the first software it comes with is really trash, and during the updates, it constantly disconnects! Use Firefox only to enter the router's address and do the updates; you will first install 1.0.4 and then 2.3.1, there is a detailed guide along with the update files on the site (if you can't manage, first install 2.3.0). During the installation of 2.3.1, the loading will start; if it shows an error immediately, it means you're in trouble; if the bar starts loading, it means something is going well. At the end, an error might appear in a small window; don't close it! Leave it for a while, and maybe you'll be lucky! The reset button is your best friend, and you'll need it several times... Λοιπόν, επειδή ήμουν στα όρια του να το σπάσω αφήνω την αξιολόγηση μου εδώ για να προλάβω άσχημες καταστάσεις και να βοηθήσω όσο γίνεται.
Αγόρασα δύο τεμάχια μαζί, αν αγόραζα ένα σίγουρα δεν θα αγόραζα και δεύτερο λόγω της τεράστιας ταλαιπωρίας στο κομμάτι των ενημερώσεων που πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να κάνεις χειροκίνητα για να ενεργοποιηθεί το vpn και οι υπόλοιπες σημαντικές δυνατότητες που προσφέρει.
Σε λειτουργία vpn με wireguard (open δεν έχει) είναι μέτριο, με ταχύτητα 120-150mbps πιάνω συνήθως 30-35mps και μέγιστο 55mbps, με τον vpn client να φανταστείτε πιάνω σχεδόν την ταχύτητα γραμμής. Οι υπόλοιπες λειτουργίες που προσφέρει είναι παραπάνω από αρκετές ακόμα και για απαιτητικούς χρήστες.
Στο ψητό τώρα! Για να κάνετε τις ενημερώσεις συνδέστε αρχικά τη συσκευή με ethernet και όχι με wifi, το πρώτο λογισμικό που φοράει είναι πραγματικά για πέταμα και κατά τη διάρκεια των ενημερώσεων αποσυνδέεται συνεχώς! Χρησιμοποιήστε τον Firefox και μόνο για να μπείτε στην διεύθυνση του ρούτερ και να κάνετε τα updates, θα περάσετε πρώτα την 1.0.4 και έπειτα θα περάσετε την 2.3.1, υπάρχει αναλυτικός οδηγός μαζί με τα αρχεία update στο σάιτ (αν δεν τα καταφέρετε περάστε πρώτα την 2.3.0). Κατά το πέρασμα της 2.3.1 θα ξεκινήσει το φόρτωμα, εάν εμφανίσει σφάλμα κατευθείαν σημαίνει ο,τι μπλέξατε, εάν αρχίσει να φορτώνει η μπάρα σημαίνει ότι κάτι πάει καλά, στο τέλος ίσως εμφανιστεί σφάλμα σε ένα παραθυράκι, μην το κλείσετε! αφήστε το λίγο και ίσως είστε τυχεροί! Το κουμπί reset είναι ο καλύτερος σας φίλος και θα το χρειαστείτε αρκετές φορές... Καλό κουράγιο!!
Extremely user-friendly and very good for simple and medium use. I don't know if it can do something extra that an experienced user might ask for. Although an experienced user probably wouldn't be looking in this category. I set up a VPN on the router with a simple process. However, despite the upgrade I made, it doesn't have an option for an openVPN client, only for PPTP, L2TP, and wireguard. I think the wr3000 also has openVPN.
Regarding signal, I placed it next to the provider's one, turned off the provider's signal, activated the automatic switching 2.4G/5G, and even though the speed has dropped due to VPN, on my phone, which is not one of the best, I feel I have greater speed. And this in rooms where I previously struggled to get a signal.
Εξαιρετικά εύχρηστο και πολύ καλό για απλή και μέση χρήση. Δε γνωρίζω αν μπορεί να κάνει το κάτι παραπάνω που θα ζητήσει ένας έμπειρος χρήστης. Αν και ο έμπειρος χρήστης μάλλον δε θα κοιτούσε σε αυτή την κατηγορία. Έβαλα VPN πάνω στο ρούτερ με απλή διαδικασία. Ωστόσο, παρά την αναβάθμιση που του έκανα, δεν έχει επιλογή για openVPN client, μόνο για PPTP, L2TP και wireguard. Το wr3000 νομιζω έχει και openVPN.
Από θέμα σήματος, το έχω βάλει δίπλα σε αυτό του παρόχου, έκλεισα το σήμα του παρόχου, ενεργοποίησα την αυτόματη εναλλαγή 2.4G/5G και παρόλο που η ταχύτητα έχει πέσει λόγω VPN, στο κινητό μου που δεν είναι και από τα καλύτερα, νιώθω ότι έχω μεγαλύτερη ταχύτητα. Και αυτό σε δωμάτια που πριν δυσκολευόμουν να πιάσω σήμα.
First of all, as soon as you get it in your hands, upgrade its firmware IMMEDIATELY. The one it comes with is not stable in its performance and lacks several features (such as VPN). If you have no knowledge of technology at all and no one you know can do it for you, DO NOT BUY IT AT ALL.

Extract the RAR file you downloaded and in the folder that is extracted, you will find 2 upgrade files and a PDF file.
As stated in the PDF, you must FIRST update the file intermediate-WR1500-L101-1.0.4-20241205-747393-mid-flash.bin AND THEN the file WR1500-R76-2.3.1-20250328-195333-flash.bin
If it still blocks, press the reset button on the back of the device for 10 seconds and try the process I mentioned again.
The latest update (OpenWRT) will ask you again to create a password of your choice for access to the router's IP.
After the update, apart from the Greek menu, you will also find several more settings and features (such as VPN), as well as the ability to now perform AUTOMATIC updates.
Technically, it has a single-core processor and average RAM (this particular model), so it is for basic internet provision tasks for a few devices. Personally, I got it as a secondary for different rooms (something like an extender) with Mesh technology, connected to the Cudy WR3000H (which will also handle the VPN), which itself is connected to the main Fritz!Box router.
It is NOT a modem-router, meaning it CANNOT completely replace your phone provider's main router, so consequently it also does not have telephony capability (except for VoIP applications on network-connected devices).
This particular model only supports VPN WireGuard Client.
It does not have a power button and its only light is on the back, next to the ethernet ports.
It has one WAN port and 3 ethernet ports. It can connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi and WPS, or Mesh, or via the WAN port wired.
The quality of the plastics is average, but it does not cause problems.
Easy remote management via a mobile app.
Comes with a power supply, ethernet cable, and various small manuals. I think that for its price (up to €25 maximum), it is just right for up to 5 devices used simultaneously (not on standby).

While it is a good router with all the features I mention, as a Mesh client it often disconnects and you have to manually restart it.
Also, it does not synchronize with the main Mesh router which connected devices I have chosen to be outside the VPN, resulting in the VPN being reactivated on the main router.

Αν και παλι στο μπλοκαρει,πατα για 10 δευτερολεπτα το reset που βρισκεται στο πισω μερος της συσκευης και ξανα δοκιμασε τη διαδικασια που αναφερω.
Η τελευταια αναβαθμιση (OpenWRT) θα σου ξανα ζητησει να δημιουργησεις ενα κωδικο προσβασης της επιλογης σου για προσβαση στην IP του ρουτερ.
Μετα την αναβαθμιση,εκτος απο το ελληνικο μενου,θα βρειτε και αρκετες παραπανω ρυθμισεις και λειτουργιες (οπως VPN),καθως και τη δυνατοτητα να κανει πλέον ΑΥΤΟΜΑΤΑ αναβαθμιση.
Τεχνικα ειναι με 1 πυρηνα επεξεργαστη και μετρια RAM (το συγκεκριμενο μοντελο),αρα ειναι για βασικες εργασιες παροχης ιντερνετ για λιγες συσκευες.Προσωπικα εγω το πηρα ως δευτερευον για διαφορετικα δωματια (κατι σαν extender) με τεχνολογια Mesh,συνδεδεμενο πανω στο Cudy WR3000H (που θα αναλαβει και το VPN),το οποιο και αυτο ειναι στο βασικο ρουτερ της Fritz!Box.
ΔΕΝ ειναι μοντεμ-ρουτερ,δηλαδη ΔΕΝ μπορει να αντικαταστησει εντελως το βασικο ρουτερ του παροχου τηλεφωνιας σας,αρα συνεπως δεν εχει και δυνατοτητα τηλεφωνιας (πλην εφαρμογων VoIP σε συνδεδεμενες δικτυακα συσκευες).
Δεχεται μονο VPN WireGuard Client το συγκεκριμενο μοντελο.

Ενω ειναι ενα καλο ρουτερ με ολα οσα αναφερω,με λειτουργια Mesh ως client εχει αρκετες φορες αποσυνδεσεις και πρεπει να το κανεις χειροκινητα επανεκκινηση.
Επισης δεν συγχρονιζει με το κυριο router Mesh ποιες συνδεδεμενες συσκευες εχω επιλεξει να ειναι εκτος VPN,με αποτελεσμα να ξανα γινεται ενεργοποιηση το VPN και στο κεντρικο ρουτερ.

Note that this specific model with the latest firmware update only accepts wireguard protocol vpn server. It has a kill switch and all the other related features.

Προσοχή το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο με το τελευταίο firmware update δέχεται μόνο wireguard protocol vpn server. Εχει kill switch και όλα τα άλλα συναφή.
I proceeded to purchase it mainly for the use of the VPN feature it has with the new firmware and I preferred it over the superior (and slightly more expensive on the day I bought it) WR3000 mainly because I wanted to experiment. I have Vodafone FTTH 100Mbps with the Powerstation Wifi-6 Router, which I have no complaints about at all; for the past 1.5 years it has been a rock and I generally make quite a bit of use of my network with VPN, NAS, IoT devices, etc., so I wasn't directly interested in improving my existing WiFi router. Now, to the point, the first impression of the WR1500 after taking it out of the box resembles a fake plastic construction and it doesn't have an ON/OFF button or indicator LEDs, only a Reset and WPS on the back. After connecting it to my network and logging into its interface, it required 2 firmware upgrades since the one it came with was old, so it didn't have all the new features (including the VPN function I wanted), so keep that in mind! After I set it up (which is very easy even for users with no experience in networks), I went to input the NordVPN account I purchased to use it on the little router and there I realized that the WR1500 does not support OpenVPN protocol, only Wireguard and the outdated L2TP PPTP. NordVPN does not provide you with the Wireguard configuration file, only for OpenVPN, so if you have or plan to purchase a NordVPN subscription to use it on the WR1500, it won't work (at least for now). Therefore, I had to buy a 1-month subscription to Surfshark VPN, which gives you more freedom in Manual Config and provides the Wireguard configuration file. I entered all the settings (again, it's quite easy) and it connected normally and started routing the traffic through the VPN. Now, regarding performance, when connected via cable to the WR1500 during peak hours, I got ~55Mbps down / 10Mbps up (100Mbps line), during non-peak hours I saw ~65Mbps/10Mbps. With WiFi (5GHz band), I saw during peak hours ~35Mbps down / 10Mbps up and during non-peak hours I saw ~40Mbps/10Mbps (note: all measurements were made on the one and only Greek Server of Surfshark and I don't know if connecting to another one, e.g., in Germany, would yield better results). CONCLUSION: If you want to replace your provider's WiFi Router with something more modern, faster (in network management), and with more features, go for it! If you want to use the VPN function it offers (with limited speeds mainly due to hardware) for anonymous surfing at home without being a power user, you can still go for it as long as you keep in mind that you will need to purchase a corresponding VPN subscription (be careful with the Wireguard protocol)!
Προχώρησα στην αγορά του κυρίως για τη χρήση της λειτουργίας VPN που έχει με το καινούριο firmware και το προτίμησα έναντι του ανώτερου (και ελάχιστα ακριβότερου την ημέρα που το αγόρασα) WR3000 κυρίως γιατί ήθελα να πειραματιστώ.
Έχω Vodafone FTTH 100Mbps με το Powerstation Wifi-6 Router από το οποίο δεν έχω κανένα παράπονο απολύτως εδώ και 1.5 χρόνο είναι βράχος και γενικά κάνω αρκετή χρήση του δικτύου μου με vpn, nas, iot συσκευές κλπ, συνεπώς δε με ενδιέφερε άμεσα να βελτιώσω το υπάρχον WiFi-Router μου.
Στο δια ταύτα τώρα, η πρώτη εντύπωση για το WR1500 αφού το βγάλεις από το κουτί θυμίζει ψεύτικη πλαστική κατασκευή και χωρίς να έχει ON/OFF κουμπί ή ενδεικτικά LED παρά μόνο ένα Reset και WPS στο πίσω μέρος του. Αφού το σύνδεσα στο δίκτυο μου και έκανα login στο interface του χρειάστηκε 2 αναβαθμίσεις Firmware καθώς αυτό που φορούσε ήταν παλιό οπότε δεν είχε όλες τις νέες δυνατότητες (και μαζί και τη λειτουργία VPN που ήθελα) οπότε να το έχετε στο νου σας αυτό!
Αφού το ρύθμισα (κάτι το οποίο είναι πανεύκολο ακόμα και για χρήστες που δεν έχουν καμία εμπειρία στα δίκτυα) πήγα να περάσω το NordVPN account που αγόρασα για να το χρησιμοποιήσω στο Routerάκι και εκεί κατάλαβα πως το WR1500 δεν υποστηρίζει OpenVPN protocol παρά μόνο Wireguard και τα παρωχημένα L2TP PPTP. Το NordVPN δε σου δίνει το Wireguard configuration file παρά μόνο για OpenVPN και συνεπώς αν έχεις ή σκοπεύεις να αγοράσεις NordVPN συνδρομή για να το χρησιμοποιήσεις στο WR1500 δε γίνεται (τουλάχιστον προς το παρόν).
Συνεπώς αναγκάστηκα και αγόρασα και 1 μήνα συνδρομή στο Surfshark VPN που σου δίνει περισσότερη ελευθερία στο Manual Config και δίνει και το Wireguard configuration file. Πέρασα όλες τις ρυθμίσεις (πάλι είναι αρκετά εύκολο) και συνδέθηκε κανονικά και άρχισε να περνάει το traffic μέσω του VPN.
Στα της απόδοσης τώρα, με καλώδιο συνδεμένος στο WR1500 σε peak hours έπιασα ~55Mbps down / 10Mbps up (100αρα γραμμή), σε non-peak hours είδα και ~65Mbps/10Mbps. Με WiFi (5GHz μπάντα) είδα σε peak hours ~35Mbps down / 10Mbps up και σε non-peak hours είδα ~40Mbps/10Mbps (σημείωση: όλες οι μετρήσεις έγιναν στον 1 και μοναδικό Ελληνικό Server του Surfshark και δε ξέρω εάν συνδεθώ σε άλλον πχ Γερμανίας αν θα δω καλύτερα αποτελέσματα).
ΣΥΜΠΕΡΑΣΜΑ: Εάν θέλεις να αντικαταστήσεις το WiFi Router του παρόχου σου με κάτι πιο σύγχρονο, γρηγορότερο (στη διαχείριση του δικτύου) και με περισσότερες λειτουργίες, το παίρνεις! Εάν θέλεις να χρησιμοποιήσεις και τη λειτουργία VPN που δίνει (με περιορισμένες ταχύτητες λόγω Hardware κυρίως) για ανώνυμο surfάρισμα στο σπίτι χωρίς να είσαι power user, πάλι το παίρνεις αρκεί να έχεις στο νου σου πως θα χρειαστεί να αγοράσεις και αντίστοιχη VPN συνδρομή (προσοχή στο πρωτόκολλο Wireguard)!
Very good router and stable to increase the range of the signal compared to most routers provided by ISPs. However, I would not recommend it for use with VPN (at least for Wireguard since it does not currently support OpenVPN and likely never will) as due to hardware the speeds it can support with VPN are around 20mbps. Better to go for a router with a better processor like the WR3000 or WR3600 from the same company if you have a 100+ mbps line.
Πολύ καλό router και σταθερό για να αυξήσεις την εμβέλεια του σήματος συγκριτικά με τα περισσότερα routers που δίνουν οι πάροχοι. Παρόλα αυτά δεν θα το συνιστούσα για χρήση με VPN (τουλάχιστον για Wireguard μιας και δεν υποστηρίζει OpenVPN προς το παρόν και πιθανώς να μην υποστηρίξει ποτέ) καθώς λόγω hardware οι ταχύτητες που μπορεί να υποστηρίξει με VPN είναι περίπου 20mbps. Καλύτερα να πάτε σε κάποιο router με καλύτερο επεξεργαστή όπως το WR3000 ή WR3600 της ίδιας εταιρείας, αν έχετε γραμμή 100+ mbps.

The router supports WireGuard VPN, NOT OpenVPN. Although WireGuard is better and faster, some VPN companies do not support the installation of WireGuard on the router (there are some codes that they need to provide you) or it requires a lengthy process for this installation. So before you buy and if you are interested in the VPN, do good research on which VPN companies support it.

So, because I was on the verge of breaking it, I'm leaving my review here to prevent bad situations and help as much as possible. I bought two pieces together; if I had bought one, I definitely wouldn't have bought a second due to the huge hassle with the updates that you absolutely have to do manually to activate the VPN and the other important features it offers. In VPN mode with WireGuard (it doesn't have Open), it's mediocre, with a speed of 120-150mbps, I usually get 30-35mbps and a maximum of 55mbps, while with the VPN client, I almost reach the line speed. The other features it offers are more than enough even for demanding users. Now to the point! To do the updates, initially connect the device with Ethernet and not with WiFi; the first software it comes with is really trash, and during the updates, it constantly disconnects! Use Firefox only to enter the router's address and do the updates; you will first install 1.0.4 and then 2.3.1, there is a detailed guide along with the update files on the site (if you can't manage, first install 2.3.0). During the installation of 2.3.1, the loading will start; if it shows an error immediately, it means you're in trouble; if the bar starts loading, it means something is going well. At the end, an error might appear in a small window; don't close it! Leave it for a while, and maybe you'll be lucky! The reset button is your best friend, and you'll need it several times... Λοιπόν, επειδή ήμουν στα όρια του να το σπάσω αφήνω την αξιολόγηση μου εδώ για να προλάβω άσχημες καταστάσεις και να βοηθήσω όσο γίνεται.
Αγόρασα δύο τεμάχια μαζί, αν αγόραζα ένα σίγουρα δεν θα αγόραζα και δεύτερο λόγω της τεράστιας ταλαιπωρίας στο κομμάτι των ενημερώσεων που πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να κάνεις χειροκίνητα για να ενεργοποιηθεί το vpn και οι υπόλοιπες σημαντικές δυνατότητες που προσφέρει.
Σε λειτουργία vpn με wireguard (open δεν έχει) είναι μέτριο, με ταχύτητα 120-150mbps πιάνω συνήθως 30-35mps και μέγιστο 55mbps, με τον vpn client να φανταστείτε πιάνω σχεδόν την ταχύτητα γραμμής. Οι υπόλοιπες λειτουργίες που προσφέρει είναι παραπάνω από αρκετές ακόμα και για απαιτητικούς χρήστες.
Στο ψητό τώρα! Για να κάνετε τις ενημερώσεις συνδέστε αρχικά τη συσκευή με ethernet και όχι με wifi, το πρώτο λογισμικό που φοράει είναι πραγματικά για πέταμα και κατά τη διάρκεια των ενημερώσεων αποσυνδέεται συνεχώς! Χρησιμοποιήστε τον Firefox και μόνο για να μπείτε στην διεύθυνση του ρούτερ και να κάνετε τα updates, θα περάσετε πρώτα την 1.0.4 και έπειτα θα περάσετε την 2.3.1, υπάρχει αναλυτικός οδηγός μαζί με τα αρχεία update στο σάιτ (αν δεν τα καταφέρετε περάστε πρώτα την 2.3.0). Κατά το πέρασμα της 2.3.1 θα ξεκινήσει το φόρτωμα, εάν εμφανίσει σφάλμα κατευθείαν σημαίνει ο,τι μπλέξατε, εάν αρχίσει να φορτώνει η μπάρα σημαίνει ότι κάτι πάει καλά, στο τέλος ίσως εμφανιστεί σφάλμα σε ένα παραθυράκι, μην το κλείσετε! αφήστε το λίγο και ίσως είστε τυχεροί! Το κουμπί reset είναι ο καλύτερος σας φίλος και θα το χρειαστείτε αρκετές φορές... Καλό κουράγιο!!
Extremely user-friendly and very good for simple and medium use. I don't know if it can do something extra that an experienced user might ask for. Although an experienced user probably wouldn't be looking in this category. I set up a VPN on the router with a simple process. However, despite the upgrade I made, it doesn't have an option for an openVPN client, only for PPTP, L2TP, and wireguard. I think the wr3000 also has openVPN.
Regarding signal, I placed it next to the provider's one, turned off the provider's signal, activated the automatic switching 2.4G/5G, and even though the speed has dropped due to VPN, on my phone, which is not one of the best, I feel I have greater speed. And this in rooms where I previously struggled to get a signal.
Εξαιρετικά εύχρηστο και πολύ καλό για απλή και μέση χρήση. Δε γνωρίζω αν μπορεί να κάνει το κάτι παραπάνω που θα ζητήσει ένας έμπειρος χρήστης. Αν και ο έμπειρος χρήστης μάλλον δε θα κοιτούσε σε αυτή την κατηγορία. Έβαλα VPN πάνω στο ρούτερ με απλή διαδικασία. Ωστόσο, παρά την αναβάθμιση που του έκανα, δεν έχει επιλογή για openVPN client, μόνο για PPTP, L2TP και wireguard. Το wr3000 νομιζω έχει και openVPN.
Από θέμα σήματος, το έχω βάλει δίπλα σε αυτό του παρόχου, έκλεισα το σήμα του παρόχου, ενεργοποίησα την αυτόματη εναλλαγή 2.4G/5G και παρόλο που η ταχύτητα έχει πέσει λόγω VPN, στο κινητό μου που δεν είναι και από τα καλύτερα, νιώθω ότι έχω μεγαλύτερη ταχύτητα. Και αυτό σε δωμάτια που πριν δυσκολευόμουν να πιάσω σήμα.
First of all, as soon as you get it in your hands, upgrade its firmware IMMEDIATELY. The one it comes with is not stable in its performance and lacks several features (such as VPN). If you have no knowledge of technology at all and no one you know can do it for you, DO NOT BUY IT AT ALL.

Extract the RAR file you downloaded and in the folder that is extracted, you will find 2 upgrade files and a PDF file.
As stated in the PDF, you must FIRST update the file intermediate-WR1500-L101-1.0.4-20241205-747393-mid-flash.bin AND THEN the file WR1500-R76-2.3.1-20250328-195333-flash.bin
If it still blocks, press the reset button on the back of the device for 10 seconds and try the process I mentioned again.
The latest update (OpenWRT) will ask you again to create a password of your choice for access to the router's IP.
After the update, apart from the Greek menu, you will also find several more settings and features (such as VPN), as well as the ability to now perform AUTOMATIC updates.
Technically, it has a single-core processor and average RAM (this particular model), so it is for basic internet provision tasks for a few devices. Personally, I got it as a secondary for different rooms (something like an extender) with Mesh technology, connected to the Cudy WR3000H (which will also handle the VPN), which itself is connected to the main Fritz!Box router.
It is NOT a modem-router, meaning it CANNOT completely replace your phone provider's main router, so consequently it also does not have telephony capability (except for VoIP applications on network-connected devices).
This particular model only supports VPN WireGuard Client.
It does not have a power button and its only light is on the back, next to the ethernet ports.
It has one WAN port and 3 ethernet ports. It can connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi and WPS, or Mesh, or via the WAN port wired.
The quality of the plastics is average, but it does not cause problems.
Easy remote management via a mobile app.
Comes with a power supply, ethernet cable, and various small manuals. I think that for its price (up to €25 maximum), it is just right for up to 5 devices used simultaneously (not on standby).

While it is a good router with all the features I mention, as a Mesh client it often disconnects and you have to manually restart it.

Αν και παλι στο μπλοκαρει,πατα για 10 δευτερολεπτα το reset που βρισκεται στο πισω μερος της συσκευης και ξανα δοκιμασε τη διαδικασια που αναφερω.
Η τελευταια αναβαθμιση (OpenWRT) θα σου ξανα ζητησει να δημιουργησεις ενα κωδικο προσβασης της επιλογης σου για προσβαση στην IP του ρουτερ.
Μετα την αναβαθμιση,εκτος απο το ελληνικο μενου,θα βρειτε και αρκετες παραπανω ρυθμισεις και λειτουργιες (οπως VPN),καθως και τη δυνατοτητα να κανει πλέον ΑΥΤΟΜΑΤΑ αναβαθμιση.
Τεχνικα ειναι με 1 πυρηνα επεξεργαστη και μετρια RAM (το συγκεκριμενο μοντελο),αρα ειναι για βασικες εργασιες παροχης ιντερνετ για λιγες συσκευες.Προσωπικα εγω το πηρα ως δευτερευον για διαφορετικα δωματια (κατι σαν extender) με τεχνολογια Mesh,συνδεδεμενο πανω στο Cudy WR3000H (που θα αναλαβει και το VPN),το οποιο και αυτο ειναι στο βασικο ρουτερ της Fritz!Box.

Επισης δεν συγχρονιζει με το κυριο router Mesh ποιες συνδεδεμενες συσκευες εχω επιλεξει να ειναι εκτος VPN,με αποτελεσμα να ξανα γινεται ενεργοποιηση το VPN και στο κεντρικο ρουτερ.

Note that this specific model with the latest firmware update only accepts wireguard protocol vpn server. It has a kill switch and all the other related features.

Προσοχή το συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο με το τελευταίο firmware update δέχεται μόνο wireguard protocol vpn server. Εχει kill switch και όλα τα άλλα συναφή.
I proceeded to purchase it mainly for the use of the VPN feature it has with the new firmware and I preferred it over the superior (and slightly more expensive on the day I bought it) WR3000 mainly because I wanted to experiment. I have Vodafone FTTH 100Mbps with the Powerstation Wifi-6 Router, which I have no complaints about at all; for the past 1.5 years it has been a rock and I generally make quite a bit of use of my network with VPN, NAS, IoT devices, etc., so I wasn't directly interested in improving my existing WiFi router. Now, to the point, the first impression of the WR1500 after taking it out of the box resembles a fake plastic construction and it doesn't have an ON/OFF button or indicator LEDs, only a Reset and WPS on the back. After connecting it to my network and logging into its interface, it required 2 firmware upgrades since the one it came with was old, so it didn't have all the new features (including the VPN function I wanted), so keep that in mind! After I set it up (which is very easy even for users with no experience in networks), I went to input the NordVPN account I purchased to use it on the little router and there I realized that the WR1500 does not support OpenVPN protocol, only Wireguard and the outdated L2TP PPTP. NordVPN does not provide you with the Wireguard configuration file, only for OpenVPN, so if you have or plan to purchase a NordVPN subscription to use it on the WR1500, it won't work (at least for now). Therefore, I had to buy a 1-month subscription to Surfshark VPN, which gives you more freedom in Manual Config and provides the Wireguard configuration file. I entered all the settings (again, it's quite easy) and it connected normally and started routing the traffic through the VPN. Now, regarding performance, when connected via cable to the WR1500 during peak hours, I got ~55Mbps down / 10Mbps up (100Mbps line), during non-peak hours I saw ~65Mbps/10Mbps. With WiFi (5GHz band), I saw during peak hours ~35Mbps down / 10Mbps up and during non-peak hours I saw ~40Mbps/10Mbps (note: all measurements were made on the one and only Greek Server of Surfshark and I don't know if connecting to another one, e.g., in Germany, would yield better results). CONCLUSION: If you want to replace your provider's WiFi Router with something more modern, faster (in network management), and with more features, go for it! If you want to use the VPN function it offers (with limited speeds mainly due to hardware) for anonymous surfing at home without being a power user, you can still go for it as long as you keep in mind that you will need to purchase a corresponding VPN subscription (be careful with the Wireguard protocol)!
Προχώρησα στην αγορά του κυρίως για τη χρήση της λειτουργίας VPN που έχει με το καινούριο firmware και το προτίμησα έναντι του ανώτερου (και ελάχιστα ακριβότερου την ημέρα που το αγόρασα) WR3000 κυρίως γιατί ήθελα να πειραματιστώ.
Έχω Vodafone FTTH 100Mbps με το Powerstation Wifi-6 Router από το οποίο δεν έχω κανένα παράπονο απολύτως εδώ και 1.5 χρόνο είναι βράχος και γενικά κάνω αρκετή χρήση του δικτύου μου με vpn, nas, iot συσκευές κλπ, συνεπώς δε με ενδιέφερε άμεσα να βελτιώσω το υπάρχον WiFi-Router μου.
Στο δια ταύτα τώρα, η πρώτη εντύπωση για το WR1500 αφού το βγάλεις από το κουτί θυμίζει ψεύτικη πλαστική κατασκευή και χωρίς να έχει ON/OFF κουμπί ή ενδεικτικά LED παρά μόνο ένα Reset και WPS στο πίσω μέρος του. Αφού το σύνδεσα στο δίκτυο μου και έκανα login στο interface του χρειάστηκε 2 αναβαθμίσεις Firmware καθώς αυτό που φορούσε ήταν παλιό οπότε δεν είχε όλες τις νέες δυνατότητες (και μαζί και τη λειτουργία VPN που ήθελα) οπότε να το έχετε στο νου σας αυτό!
Αφού το ρύθμισα (κάτι το οποίο είναι πανεύκολο ακόμα και για χρήστες που δεν έχουν καμία εμπειρία στα δίκτυα) πήγα να περάσω το NordVPN account που αγόρασα για να το χρησιμοποιήσω στο Routerάκι και εκεί κατάλαβα πως το WR1500 δεν υποστηρίζει OpenVPN protocol παρά μόνο Wireguard και τα παρωχημένα L2TP PPTP. Το NordVPN δε σου δίνει το Wireguard configuration file παρά μόνο για OpenVPN και συνεπώς αν έχεις ή σκοπεύεις να αγοράσεις NordVPN συνδρομή για να το χρησιμοποιήσεις στο WR1500 δε γίνεται (τουλάχιστον προς το παρόν).
Συνεπώς αναγκάστηκα και αγόρασα και 1 μήνα συνδρομή στο Surfshark VPN που σου δίνει περισσότερη ελευθερία στο Manual Config και δίνει και το Wireguard configuration file. Πέρασα όλες τις ρυθμίσεις (πάλι είναι αρκετά εύκολο) και συνδέθηκε κανονικά και άρχισε να περνάει το traffic μέσω του VPN.
Στα της απόδοσης τώρα, με καλώδιο συνδεμένος στο WR1500 σε peak hours έπιασα ~55Mbps down / 10Mbps up (100αρα γραμμή), σε non-peak hours είδα και ~65Mbps/10Mbps. Με WiFi (5GHz μπάντα) είδα σε peak hours ~35Mbps down / 10Mbps up και σε non-peak hours είδα ~40Mbps/10Mbps (σημείωση: όλες οι μετρήσεις έγιναν στον 1 και μοναδικό Ελληνικό Server του Surfshark και δε ξέρω εάν συνδεθώ σε άλλον πχ Γερμανίας αν θα δω καλύτερα αποτελέσματα).
ΣΥΜΠΕΡΑΣΜΑ: Εάν θέλεις να αντικαταστήσεις το WiFi Router του παρόχου σου με κάτι πιο σύγχρονο, γρηγορότερο (στη διαχείριση του δικτύου) και με περισσότερες λειτουργίες, το παίρνεις! Εάν θέλεις να χρησιμοποιήσεις και τη λειτουργία VPN που δίνει (με περιορισμένες ταχύτητες λόγω Hardware κυρίως) για ανώνυμο surfάρισμα στο σπίτι χωρίς να είσαι power user, πάλι το παίρνεις αρκεί να έχεις στο νου σου πως θα χρειαστεί να αγοράσεις και αντίστοιχη VPN συνδρομή (προσοχή στο πρωτόκολλο Wireguard)!
Very good router and stable to increase the range of the signal compared to most routers provided by ISPs. However, I would not recommend it for use with VPN (at least for Wireguard since it does not currently support OpenVPN and likely never will) as due to hardware the speeds it can support with VPN are around 20mbps. Better to go for a router with a better processor like the WR3000 or WR3600 from the same company if you have a 100+ mbps line.
Πολύ καλό router και σταθερό για να αυξήσεις την εμβέλεια του σήματος συγκριτικά με τα περισσότερα routers που δίνουν οι πάροχοι. Παρόλα αυτά δεν θα το συνιστούσα για χρήση με VPN (τουλάχιστον για Wireguard μιας και δεν υποστηρίζει OpenVPN προς το παρόν και πιθανώς να μην υποστηρίξει ποτέ) καθώς λόγω hardware οι ταχύτητες που μπορεί να υποστηρίξει με VPN είναι περίπου 20mbps. Καλύτερα να πάτε σε κάποιο router με καλύτερο επεξεργαστή όπως το WR3000 ή WR3600 της ίδιας εταιρείας, αν έχετε γραμμή 100+ mbps.

The router supports WireGuard VPN, NOT OpenVPN. Although WireGuard is better and faster, some VPN companies do not support the installation of WireGuard on the router (there are some codes that they need to provide you) or it requires a lengthy process for this installation. So before you buy and if you are interested in the VPN, do good research on which VPN companies support it.
Το router υποστηρίζει VPN WireGuard, ΟΧΙ OpenVPN. Παρόλο που το WireGuard είναι καλύτερο και γρηγορότερο μερικές εταιρείες VPN δεν υποστηρίζουν την εγκατάσταση του WireGuard στο router (είναι μερικοί κωδικοί που πρέπει να σου δώσουν) ή θέλει πολύ διαδικασία για την εγκατάσταση αυτήν. Οπότε πριν αγοράσετε και σας ενδιαφέρει το VPN κάντε καλή έρευνα τις εταιρείες VPN τη υποστηρίζουν.

Used as mesh on top of the provider's device. Relatively easy to set up because you need to install the latest firmware and from there you do everything from the app, even if you are on another network. I did not encounter any issues with coverage in the 100sqm space, the VPN is set up very easily and you can activate it individually for any device you want through the app.

Σχετικά εύκολο στο set up του γιατί πρέπει να εγκαταστήσεις το τελευταίο firmware και από εκεί μετά κάνεις τα πάντα από την εφαρμογή του ακόμα και αν είσαι σε άλλο δίκτυο. Δεν αντιμετώπισα κανένα θέμα με την κάλυψη του χώρου στα 100τμ, το vpn στήνεται πολύ εύκολα και μπορείς να το ενεργοποιείς μεμονωμένα για όποια συσκευή θέλεις μέσω της εφαρμογής.

δεν ξέρω τι βρήκαμε αυτοί που γράφουνε θετικά το πήρα εδώ και δυο μέρες και μου ρχεται να το πετάξω από το μπαλκόνι μετά την αναβάθμιση την τελευταία που ζορίστηκα πολύ να την περάσω έχει τρελές από συνδέσεις με vpn δεν το συζητάω οι καλύτερα δώστε κάτι παραπάνω και πάρτε το 3.000 μοντέλο γιατί μετά την αναβάθμιση είναι πιο αργό και από κουτσή χελώνα είναι σκέτη ταλαιπωρία εγώ πήρα το επόμενο μοντέλο και βρήκα την ησυχία μου αν δεν πάθεις δεν θα μάθεις
