The multilayer pipe connection tee has a male connection type. Its body is made of brass, either hot-forged or machined from a brass bar, and includes a plastic inspection ring to check that the pipe is correctly inserted into the fitting. The ring also checks that contact between the aluminium and brass is prevented.

The O-ring is made of peroxide-cured EPDM and is approved for drinking water in accordance with the ACS directive. The internal and external connection threads comply with standard EN 10226-1 (ISO 7/1).
