First of all, I have to say that there is a small mistake here on Scroutz. The Vans Old Skool Pro, as it was released last year, no longer exists. It has been replaced by the Vans Old Skool Skate model. So if you get it from a store that has stock from last year, you will get the Pro version, while if you get it from a store with this year's stock (like I did), you will get the Skate version. Now, the Skate version has the same pro insole as last year, but it comes with some changes. In this year's Skate model: 1) the color of the insole is off-white, like the regular model, and not black. 2) the red flag on the left side has been replaced with a black and white checkerboard. 3) the sole is glossier around the edges, while last year it was more matte. 4) They have added a double red rubber inside that keeps the tongue in place. 5) Inside and on the back of the heel, they have changed the graphic and now it depicts a checkerboard with a red border. Overall, it is clear that these changes are made to support skaters and address the issues they had with the regular mainstream Vans model, which is now worn by everyone. Personally, because I have worn both the regular and the pro now, I can't say that the insole is significantly better, but it definitely has a difference from the classic model, which feels like stepping on a rock. Now, as for the size, I wear a 45 in Nike and according to Vans' size chart, with the same foot and sole measurements, I should have gotten a 44.5. The store where I bought it didn't have a 44.5, so I decided to get a 45 (even though it's a bit loose because I also have wide feet) instead of a 44 (which I would prefer if I had narrower feet). In the end, it's better for it to be a bit loose than to squeeze you, since it's not the most comfortable shoe in the world. As for the price of 85 euros, I don't know if it's worth it, I consider it a bit overpriced. In other words, if you don't skate and don't need the extras that the regular Old Skool offers, the one for 65 euros is perfectly fine. I got the Skate (pro) because I will be wearing it for work for 8+ hours and I wanted to have the highest possible comfort, even though I don't skate. However, I think skaters will appreciate this year's changes and finally be able to stand out from everyone wearing the classic model! 5 stars because they are Vans and they are beautiful and comfortable (for Vans).

Update: After a few months, I can say that 45 is indeed the correct size. In other words, 45 in Nike is also 45 in Vans. I might even go half a size up if it was available. Don't let the Vans size chart deceive you, which tells you to go half a size down because it will be tight with thick winter socks.
