On one side, the RJ45 connector connects to an unpowered Ethernet port and on the other side, the connector connects to the power supply via an Ethernet cable. It is used for powering 2 pairs of unpowered Ethernet cable. Positive pole on the power pair 4.5 and negative pole on 7.8. The maximum data transfer speed of the PoE is Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps).
