The company FURLA was founded in 1927 in Bologna, Italy by Aldo Furlanetto. It initially started as a wholesale fashion goods company, and in 1955, it opened its first retail store in Bologna, which is still operating today.
In the 1970s, the family launched the first collection of leather bags featuring the company logo. The bags became a hot commodity, and FURLA continued to release new products and expand its name both in Italy and beyond its borders.
In the early 1990s, FURLA began opening stores in various countries around the world, including Japan, the USA, Spain, and more. Currently, FURLA distributes its products in 63 countries with over 300 boutiques worldwide.
In 2012, the company opened its flagship store in Bangkok, Thailand and began its expansion into Asia, distributing products in China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
