For those of you considering buying this specific printer, keep the following in mind:
1. Regarding the HP+ service:
If during the initial setup of the printer you choose to install it as an HP+ Printer, then know that this choice cannot be undone later, not even with a factory reset, and from that point on the printer must be connected to the internet and to the HP+ account you created; otherwise, it will not print. Additionally, firmware updates will be mandatory, which aim to prevent you from using anything other than genuine HP ink. The only way to avoid all of this is to select the “Use USB instead” option during the initial setup of the printer, and you are given only one chance for this option. If you do not select “Use USB instead,” then you will not be given this opportunity again.
2. Regarding the HP Instant Ink service:
This subscription service is provided to you for free for 3 months. However, if you cancel it, then you will not be able to use the HP Instant Ink cartridges you receive without this service being active. Also, in my case, when I canceled this service the very next day because I did not agree with the terms of the service that I received via email after I had already activated it, HP locked my printer the next day (in the same way that the electricity company cuts your power if you haven’t paid the bill), and I could not use even the initial cartridges that come with the printer in its packaging and are marked “SETUP” since the initial cartridges are part of the HP Instant Ink service, and after I canceled the service, the only solution from then on is to install cartridges purchased from a store! I would have avoided all this hassle if I had not engaged at all with the HP Instant Ink service.

Obviously, the best thing you can do is to buy a printer from any other manufacturer besides HP and not make the mistake I made because the cherry on top is that the cartridges for this printer are more expensive than the previous one I had, which was also HP. My old printer used HP 650 cartridges, and the new one uses HP 924. With a quick calculation of cost per page with only black ink, the HP 650 turns out to be cheaper; if I am forced to pay for color ink on the new printer just to print text, then the cost of use is utterly outrageous. Very good multifunction device. I believe it is the best mid-range solution for home in terms of quality, functionality, size, and appearance. It also turned out to be very economical for me at €90 (purchase €120 - €30 cashback) and free ink for 4+ months** (code br4m8r).

- Very good print quality and speed up to 30 pages/minute
- Automatic feeder (225 sheets)
- Classic scanner but also automatic for A4 (not automatic double-sided)
- Silent mode with hour selection
- Very easy installation and connection with wifi
- Easy menu and printing from mobile.
Negatives:
- Slightly mediocre plastic quality
- Weight
- Just so you know, as I mentioned, it does not scan sheets automatically on both sides. Once it finishes one side, you put them all back in the tray and it scans the back side. For fully automatic, you go to the 9XXX series, but I don't think it's worth it..

You can choose a plan up to 1000 pages/month and change or stop it whenever you want; you will also receive a notification before the free period ends. They sent me a package with XL inks in all colors the very next day, which normally costs €60-70!
- Some people I see generally criticize HP. I don't blame them because I also said I wouldn't buy again after the previous one broke, but after a lot of use over 7 years. Don't let them influence you. I did extensive market research and from acquaintances who have other brands and found that the others are much worse, especially in durability. Unfortunately, there is no golden market for printers; get what fits your needs and you like. But with €30 cashback and at least €70 worth of ink, you don't think too much about it..
- The difference with the 8132e is that the 8122e does not have fax.

Reading a completely negative review, because I couldn't believe we were talking about the same printer, I took the trouble to test it better in case I actually missed something. So we have:
1. Normal printing speed. About 8-10 seconds for regular color and 3 seconds for draft B/W. Of course, we mean the actual printing time, not if it took +5 seconds to start and grab the paper because you are printing one by one. I don't know if it reaches the 30/minute that HP claims, but you get 20/minute.
2. For the scanner, I will upload photos, but it literally cuts off at most 1 millimeter from the bottom on A4, and this only on the simple scanner, not from the feeder. There is an "Entire scan area" option instead of "letter" before you hit scan; it's not rocket science.
3. The scanner's resolution is just fine. I will put photos, but I have already compressed them due to large size because at 600dpi it is 7MB (7000x5000) and it won't upload. So don't zoom in more than 100% to judge because they will pixelate; I have already put the zoom on one for you to see. The only thing I noticed in the book is that if you enlarge it too much, it seems to have made a grid of white pixels. This happens because the scanner remained open and took in light from outside. It's not a mobile phone to take a photo and process it through AI. Although there is an option in the app for scanning from the mobile camera.
Also, the price has gone to €89 now on BF, which means €59 with the cashback and inks that will last 1-2 years. I think it's funny to have higher expectations from a compact home use multifunction device of this value. Yes, the scanner is not ideal for high-resolution photos; for such use, a separate machine is needed, but for everyday simple use, I still believe it's great.
