    The flip-up helmet is also known as "modular" or openable because the front part of the helmet can be lifted. It is relatively heavier, bulkier, and a safer helmet compared to the Jet helmet. 

    Its use is ideal for couriers who make frequent stops within the city and do not need to remove the entire helmet.

    Thermoplastic

    This is a plastic material mainly used in more affordable and entry-level helmets.

    Open is very convenient. However, closed it shakes a lot and the glass squeaks creating a "fogging" effect. But overall it's fine - especially open and at 100-120 it has no issues, it doesn't shake at all.
