This lens is an excellent alternative to previous lens designs with extremely wide-angle zoom that traditionally were very blurry...and very expensive.
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 9–18mm 1:4.0–5.6 II lens (18–36mm*) expands the capabilities of your lens system with an ultra-wide zoom. It is extremely compact, weighing just 155g and has a total length of 49.5mm thanks to the retractable storage mechanism. But the advantages don't end here: you can easily create impressive perspective effects or use it to achieve excellent close-up shots, with a minimum distance of 25cm from the front of the lens.
Alternative Zoom
This lens is an excellent alternative to previous lens designs with extremely wide-angle zoom that traditionally were very blurry...and very expensive.
Flexibility
The combination of two double-sided aspherical lenses and ED and HR aspherical glass helps minimize distortion and aberration.
Special Lens Cover
If you expect to take many shots outdoors in bright conditions, the lens hood will really help you prevent strong side or stray light from causing ghosting phenomena.
