Description

Set of H7 type LED car lamps Ultinon Pro6000 +230% by Philips. The type indicates how the lamp is mounted on the vehicle's socket, the number of filaments, and the electrical energy required. Consult your vehicle's manual for the correct lamp selection. In this case, it can be installed in the low beams, high beams, and fog lights.

The LED operating technology offers greater brightness, and therefore visibility, compared to halogen and Xenon lamps. They are also more durable than halogen lamps and have a higher cost than halogen and Xenon. However, they have an even longer lifespan, which can reach up to 30,000 hours.

They can be connected to a CAN Bus system. This system monitors the consumption of the lamp and recognizes whether it is burnt out or not, sending indications to the dashboard. Before choosing lamps for your vehicle, it is recommended to consult its manual for the minimum consumption needed so that the CAN Bus system does not trigger.

This review is about a variation of the product

Installed on a 2017 Audi Q2. No canbus error occurred. Strangely, they are stronger than the factory LED headlights. They have less brightness than the Ultinon access I had before, specifically measured with a photometer at 4m: 1306LUX compared to 1539LUX of the Ultinon access. The access, although cheaper, are a bit brighter, slightly more blue in hue BUT they burn out in less than 12 months and this happened with 3 pairs I bought AND they trigger the canbus when start-stop is activated and the voltage drops in the circuit. Therefore, the access are only suitable for the high beam which is not used often. For the low beam, the Ultinon Pro6000 Boost are the definition of "OEM" and for me the only choice. Plus, they are among the few that are certified for road use.
