Human trafficking is not a local wound, but a wound of global dimensions, that recognizes no race, color, or religion.
“I will go, I will go alone… you sit here and smoke cigarettes.” This phrase alone from the work bears the hallmark of a feminist manifesto.
The Feminine energy rebels from its strongest position, that of the mother. In a patriarchal environment where the oppressed woman does not know how to stand socially on her own, the Mother, a symbol that plays a leading role in Odise Plaku's work, will become a creature ready to create a new world. She demands justice, she demands punishment for anyone who dares to insult and degrade the female body, human dignity.
I would say that through the social problem of human trafficking, the author highlights the strength of the feminine nature. Human trafficking is a social scourge that has persisted for centuries and unfortunately still exists in the 21st century.
The power of Woman awakens through loss… the innate strength of motherhood to protect her child against the corrupt Power knows no bounds. She denounces, she fights, she breaks the limits of her physical strength and becomes a tragic figure. “If her heart bursts and spills out, it will drown the whole world.” The author conveys a powerful message.
As a master of poetry, he uses a tragic story to create political theatre. Georgia Zoe and I thank you, Odise Plaku, for trusting us with your work.
