The guardians are a powerful race. Everyone can use them, but they must be used sparingly, otherwise, they may lead to the victory of the Guardian Leaders. This adds a new dimension of intrigue, a new victory condition, and many powerful new abilities to the game.
The items will upgrade your leader's character. Each item gives the respective player a unique ability that can be used 2-3 times during the game. This offers each player a unique playstyle and exclusive strategic options.
A bag full of dreadful corruption tokens. Twice during the game, an aura of corruption allows you to secretly change alliances.
