The first part, titled "Clinical Process of Endodontic Diagnosis," provides an extensive discussion of the clinical process of diagnosis from the first contact with the patient and the taking of history, to the conduct of complex diagnostic tests for the precise identification of the clinical signs and symptoms that characterize an endodontic condition.
The second part, titled "Diagnosis of Pulp and Periapical Diseases," presents a detailed description of the diagnostic categories of pulp and periapical diseases. In an effort to interpret the pathological conditions described, the first chapters of the second part analyze the pathophysiological mechanisms of the dentin-pulp system, understanding of which is a fundamental prerequisite for grasping the diagnostic categories and diseases.
Finally, the manuscript presents clinical examples of endodontic diagnosis for a more comprehensive understanding of the diagnostic classification system.
