Tempered glass is a hardened glass specially designed to cover and protect the mobile phone screen from scratches and other damages. It does not affect the screen's functionality. In case of a fall, it does not guarantee that the screen won't crack along with it, but it provides an additional layer of protection.

It features adhesive across its entire surface, unlike edge glue glass protectors that only have adhesive around their perimeter. This helps in better application and smooth operation of the touch screen. Additionally, it prevents dust from passing underneath, which can happen with edge glue protectors when their perimeter adhesive wears out.
