The circular saw is designed to cut various materials at any desired angle: wood with nails, MDF laminate, mild steel, square tubing, rebar, plastic, etc. It is not recommended for hard high-carbon steel and stainless steel. Note: Cutting galvanized steel may reduce the blade's lifespan.
