On its own, it doesn't cleanse, just removes makeup. It is used on DRY skin. Only then does it work. If you apply it on wet or damp skin, it does nothing. If it accidentally gets on the skin of my eyelids, it causes intense dryness, and for that reason, I won't buy it again.
