    So, regarding the Columbia Drainmaker, we are talking about hiking - river crossing shoes. They are not meant to be waterproof, because they are intended for amphibious use, meaning to go into river water with stable footing. I repeat, river water only. Sea water is not recommended due to its hardness, as it reduces the lifespan of the shoe in terms of seams and glues. This is the 3rd pair I have bought, not from Skroutz since I found them at a better offer than on the internet, always genuine, and I speak purely from experience having done over 200km of river crossing and hiking along riverbanks in our country. I recommend it to those who want a light and comfortable shoe for long hours of hiking - river crossing for stable footing on rocks in the water for beautiful experiences in nature.
