With the second volume on the 3rd Communist International, the trilogy by Takis Mastrogiannopoulos, The Rise and Fall of the Workers' Internationals, is completed. This part continues the presentation of the formation of communist parties in a number of countries: Poland, Finland, England, Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, the USA, and China.
Next, the course of the 3rd Communist International during the interwar period is examined, which was marked by major revolutionary events: the general strike in Britain in 1926, the Chinese revolution of 1925-1927, the revolution in Austria in 1927 and 1934, and the Spanish Civil War, which ended tragically in early 1939. The tragic events that led to the rise of fascism in Germany and the imposition of authoritarian regimes in many European countries are also discussed, along with the experiences of the Popular Front in Spain and France.
The internal tensions, contradictions, and fierce conflicts within the USSR, with their bloody consequences – which led to the predominance of the Stalinist phenomenon within the communist movement – have their place in the historical narrative. This narrative does not limit itself to the "victors," but also extends to opposing international movements and personalities.
The narration concludes with the dissolution of the International during the tumultuous years of the devastating Second World War for humanity.
