The ABB series of mini circuit breakers from the pro M compact S200 system features two different activation mechanisms:

  • Thermal delay activation mechanism for overload protection
  • Electromechanical activation mechanism for short-circuit protection

Products available in:

  • Different characteristics (B, C, D, K, Z)
  • Configurations (1P, 1P + N, 2P, 3P, 3P + N, 4P)
  • Short-circuit capacity (up to 6 kA at 230/400 V AC)
  • Rated currents (up to 63A)

All S200 products comply with IEC / EN 60898-1, allowing for use in residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

The auxiliary bottom-mounted contact can be installed on the S200 to save 50% space.

Operating Curve

The tripping curve shows the time required for the circuit breaker to switch off in relation to the current passing through it. For small overcurrents, the tripping is delayed to avoid unnecessary interruptions, while for very high values, such as in the case of a short circuit, the breaker operates immediately to protect the circuit. Different types of curves are used depending on the needs of each installation and the type of loads.

Curve C

The most common in general installations, ideal for circuits with motors or electronic devices.
