    I bought the Rivera 3 Man shoes (size 50) from a Greek store, expecting durability and suitability for everyday use. I am 53 years old, weigh 147-150 kg, and use them at work. Unfortunately, within the first month of use, the sole began to collapse. The problem became more noticeable in the sixth month when, due to the sinking of the sole at the back (which had lowered compared to the front), I lost my balance and almost fell down airplane stairs. When I contacted the store to report the issue, I received polite service. However, the response was disappointing: "The damage is not covered by any warranty. The store can offer you a discount of up to 50% on another pair of shoes." While I appreciate the offer, I find it unacceptable for the shoes to show such severe wear, especially if this is not a defect but a design flaw. If this sole is characteristic of Altra shoes, then it is clear that they are not suitable for individuals weighing over 100 kg — perhaps not even over 80 kg. Having worn many athletic shoes in my life, I have never encountered such a problem, even after years of use. Conclusion: The Altra Rivera 4 shoes are not suitable for heavier users. This should be clearly stated in the product description. I hope the company will reconsider its policy and better inform its customers.
