It is the first "inositol product" in Austria that can be taken on the go without water and tastes like wild berry. Until now, common formulations had to be dissolved in water first in the form of a sachet. 

ProFertil® Inositol was developed based on extensive study data for optimal support of women with PCOS and those who want to have children.

Recommended Dosage

For women with PCOS: 2 sachets per day (also for preparation or support of in vitro fertilization).

Nutritional Value

Content per sachet:

  • Myo-inositol: 2000 mg 4000 mg
  • Vitamin B6: 2 mg 4 mg
  • Folic acid: 200 mcg 400 mcg - of which folate (Quatrefolic): 50 mcg 100 mcg

Ingredients

  • Myo-inositol improves insulin sensitivity: Myo-Inositol has demonstrated its effectiveness in women with PCOS (insulin resistance) and the desire to conceive in numerous clinical studies and is therefore considered a therapeutic option in the ESHRE/ASRM PCOS guidelines.
  • Vitamin B6 + folic acid contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism: Elevated Hcy levels have been observed in women with PCOS. 
  • Quatrefolic® is an immediately bioavailable folic acid that can be absorbed by the body without further metabolism: For women who are unable to fully metabolize folic acid.

Precautions

  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of small children.
  • Store the product in a cool and dry place.
  • Dietary supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet.
  • This product is not intended for the prevention, treatment, or cure of any human disease.

It does not bother the stomach at all nor does it cause that "tingly" sensation that some inositol supplements create. I am removing 2 stars, firstly because it is quite expensive and secondly (and most importantly) because it contains dextrose, which I consider completely inconsistent for one of its uses (apart from fertility and polycystic ovary syndrome, it also helps regulate insulin resistance, so one would expect it not to contain substances that raise blood sugar). I contacted the importing company to draw their attention to the fact that the ingredients are not clearly listed in the descriptions on the sites, and the response I received was not what one would expect... Nevertheless, I have bought it twice as it seemed to work slightly better than another similar product.
