The two one-act plays by Susan Glaspell deal with the position of women, just as in her theatrical work The House of Alison (available in the World Theatre series from Dodoni publications), and are included in Feminist Studies.

INSIGNIFICANT THINGS
In the first one-act play, Insignificant Things, Susan Glaspell sets the plot of the play in Mini's kitchen, where she is accused of strangling her husband while he was asleep. While the male investigators search for evidence regarding the motive for the murder and the clarification of the mysterious crime, the women formulate their own theory and solve the puzzle based on what the male characters refer to as "insignificant things."

METHODIOUS
Methodious is the shortest one-act play by Glaspell and her first attempt to create a philosophical and symbolic drama.
