The high-fashion company FURLA was founded in 1927 in Bologna, Italy by Aldo Furlanetto. It initially started as a wholesale fashion goods company and then opened its first retail store in Bologna in 1955, which is still in operation today.
In the 1970s, the family's children took over and launched the first collection of leather bags featuring the company's logo. The bags became extremely popular, and FURLA continued to produce new products and expand its brand both in Italy and internationally.
