The tracheostomy support is a tube securing strap that allows for the safe attachment of the tracheostomy tube and can be adjusted to different neck widths. The strap is intended exclusively for a single patient and should not be placed too tightly around the neck. Ideally, there should be about a 1 cm distance from the neck. To prevent accidental release of the tracheostomy tube, the secure fit of the strap should be checked regularly.

Instructions for use:

• Place the tracheostomy tube securing strap around the neck in such a way that the velcro hooks face outward.
• Secure both velcro hooks respectively to the side loops on the outer plate of the tracheostomy tube.
• Adjust the short fastening tape with the stretch insert to the required neck size and attach it to the fluffy side of the securing strap.
• In case the securing strap is too long, it can be shortened with scissors to the required length.
