Tubes coated with K2EDTA, as an anticoagulant for collecting samples and measuring cellular blood. Thorough mixing of blood and anticoagulant requires the sample to be inverted and shaken 8 to 10 times.
With B.D. Vacutainer blood collection tubes, a safer work environment is provided for all personnel due to:
- the reduction of the risk of tube breakage during handling
- elimination of breakage when the tubes are centrifuged at higher speeds
- elimination of breakage of the tubes when the cap is removed and replaced
