- White beveling file: Made of aluminum oxide and provides a smooth finish on harder metals or lighter cutting action on softer metals.
- Red beveling file: Made of aluminum oxide and designed to polish without any cutting action.
- Green beveling file: Made of chromium oxide and offers a high gloss on both hard and soft metals.
The beveling files exhibit different cutting abilities:

- Red beveling file - 14 grit
