After one year.
+ Excellent cameras, for this price I don't know if there are better ones, definitely better than the iPhone 12. And I've received many compliments for the photos and videos it takes.
+ Battery at first lasted 2 days, today after 14 hours of continuous use, it ran out but we're talking about a lot of video and internet and it didn't get a break (it just happened that day) and still it doesn't get hot..
+ Different phone, not boring like all phones have become today, it stands out and even in appearance because I notice the looks.
+ For the price you get a beast of a phone, unique, with a protective glass that has nothing to do with the rubbish we go and buy for 15-20€, whatever I've done to it, it hasn't even got a scratch.. and a case.. I ordered many cases from Temu and there's no problem.
+ The little LEDs

- You can't find tinted or white protective glass anywhere outside or here.. only from Skroutz and it's expensive... In general, it has the iPhone system, expensive spare parts. Cases can be found.
- I don't know if it's just me (probably), but many times when someone calls me, I can't hear and they can't hear me. I hang up and call back and then everything is ok.. very annoying.

Other than that, a beast of a phone for its price

I have had the phone for 2 weeks. For the 280 euros I bought it for, it’s not worth it. The back is transparent plastic, and in fact, it’s made from cheap plastic. It gets excessively hot. I bought it because it’s advertised as a phone with Android software without ads. However, from time to time, it does show ads. Of course, when you browse the internet, the browser drives you crazy with ads. As for the LEDs on the back, they haven’t particularly impressed me. I didn’t buy the phone for that reason. Basically, when you get a call or a notification, they flash like you’re in a club. Fortunately, they can be disabled in the settings. Sometimes it freezes and doesn’t go to the home screen with the back button. I don’t know if this will be fixed with an update. It has a good battery that easily lasts a whole day with moderate use. It takes decent photos but has a small issue with zoom. For example, if I take a photo of an object, the rest of the background gets blurry. I have experimented with various settings but the problem remains. The fingerprint sensor is at the bottom part of the screen. It’s not the fastest sensor. It came from the factory with a screen protector, but you urgently need to get a case. Attention, like all modern phones nowadays, it only comes with a charging cable. There is no charger included in the package.

Well, the phone is amazing for its price. The reason I got it is because it has these LED lights on the back called glyph, and I wanted it for notifications or when someone calls me to light up. And generally because it's something different from the boring phones that are on the market.. there are no phones that catch your interest anymore. It doesn't outperform a Samsung s24, but it's also not in the same category as the cheap Chinese phones.. my comparison was with Galaxy a55, Motorola edge 40, and Redmi note 13 pro & 14 pro.. in the end, I settled on this because in terms of cameras, it's almost better than the others (each one is good at something .. none is better than the others) and better than iPhone 13. It has very good specs. And it was the only one that held the battery longer.. it's not waterproof like other phones, but it has resistance to rain or in case it falls into water so it doesn't get damaged.. it's not meant to be submerged in the sea.. you will have an issue with the LEDs at first because you don't know if you want them to light up when you get a call, then you have to add the numbers to the list that you want to light up. So go -> settings -> glyph interface -> call sound -> and at the top it says "add contact" you go select the contact you want and then it lets you choose the song if you want a different one for each, otherwise you put the same for all.. just this is the downside that it requires manual setup to light up when you get a call.. I only added 20 people that I wanted. There is a setting when you increase or decrease the volume, it lights up from the back or when you place the phone screen down it goes into silent mode and many other features.. I hadn't had a phone that lasted more than half a day for a long time to discover it.. I missed that.

Positives +
- Very good cameras both day and night and selfies
- Sensor if the camera is not clear.
- Sound. It has speakers both top and bottom and it's loud. And when you talk, it's loud in your ear.
- Factory screen protector
- Battery lasts 2 days with normal use. 1.5 days with heavy use.
- Very nice bright screen, and good colors.
- Stands out
- It has safety features in case of an accident, it calls 100 and sends your approximate location if you don't have GPS on.
- And theft protection locks the screen and if someone tries to enter the wrong code twice, it locks and turns off. I set it to erase everything in such a case. But I also have remote locking.

Negatives -
- The screen collects lint as if it's magnetized and the back leaves fingerprints all over
- You can't find a charger but as long as you have its cable, it works with any charger. I use Samsung's with its own cable otherwise if I use another cable it gives me a message.

And NO, it's not Chinese. It's British.

I have had the phone for almost a day. The positives have already been mentioned in previous comments. I will not focus on those. The np2a is now a well-known phone in the mid-range category.
I would like to talk about the negative aspect of this phone, which is its screen.

Specifically, when the fingerprint is activated, you find yourself in dark conditions with the dark theme enabled, fully low brightness, and you are on a screen waiting for a fingerprint (e.g., lock screen), you may notice a green tint on the screen, like marks. It can also be observed sometimes in other areas of the screen (e.g., home screen, status bar).

This phenomenon is not new to AMOLED screens. For this specific phone, there have been hundreds of reports on forums and in the official Nothing community groups on Reddit. I should add at this point that if the fingerprint lock is removed, this issue disappears and everything is fine. The green tint observed, based on my own research, is a hardware problem and not a software one, even though Nothing tried to fix it in the new software update (NothingOS 3.0), by correcting some colors so that it doesn't appear essentially. I don't think that changing the screen would fix the issue, as others who went abroad to official Nothing stores for repair found that changing the screen did not correct anything.

The Nothing Phone 2a is not a miracle phone. There are some with better hardware and performance, around the same price. What makes it stand out, however, is its unique design, in a world of dull designs, and its clean and fast operating system without lag, in contrast to the bloated operating systems of many Android devices (see Xiaomi).

In conclusion, it is, as everyone who has evaluated it says, an amazing phone that follows a specific philosophy. If you are willing to compromise with using light mode on the screen or disabling the fingerprint or if the green tint issue does not bother you, then it is a fantastic phone choice at the price of 290-300 euros. Unless you happen to not have any green tint issue, in which case you are 100% ahead.

Note: you might want to wait for the 3a to come out in early March and compare it with the 2a. It is expected to be mid-range as well.

A true masterpiece that is worth every euro!

I really didn't expect it. Plaisio had a sale for €250 and with tax exemption, I got it for €200 (128GB) and I think I stole a church.

- Lightweight construction, yet it looks sturdy and very elegant
- Excellent screen, bright, with nice colors
- Two speakers with good volume and bass
- Airy software, everything runs perfectly without lag, even with 10 apps open
- No overheating, just a very minimal amount during charging
- The battery is ridiculously good. Always with data, brightness at 50%, refresh rate at 120Hz, I easily get through the day. I had another phone with 5000mAh, but this one manages power incredibly well
- Don't be afraid of the processor like I initially was, it will satisfy the average user 100% and for the more demanding, especially gamers, it will be just fine
- The camera is amazing, both in photos and videos. Very clear results and I was surprised by the quality of the selfie. At 1080p at 60 FPS, the video is super smooth.

For me, a downside is that it doesn't come with a charger (you can get a 45W charger for €12-13) and even though it has a plastic back, a case is a must because it slips easily.

What can I say, I didn't expect it to be this good, especially for this price.

Well, I have the Nothing Phone 2a for 2 weeks now and I think I can say a few things; if anything changes, I will come back with an edit to my review. The main positive features for me are the battery and the software, and how the phone manages its chip. I have about 5 hours of screen on time daily, and by the end of the day, it's around 40-50%. It's extreme; it has very good autonomy, and once it understands your usage, the phone easily reaches 1.5-2 days. The software at this price, you should know, you won't find anywhere without ads, without lags, and freezes; it feels like a flagship. And despite the Mediatek it has, it personally surprised me; I downloaded a bit of Genshin to see how it runs, and in 30-40 minutes of gameplay, it didn't have any significant stutter; it ran very decently, and for everyday use, it's perfect. Just for this price, I wouldn't ask for anything more. I hear many people criticizing the cameras; to tell the truth, after the updates, for the money, they are decent, not the best, but very decent. It charges relatively quickly in about 1 hour, and the design is incredible, both of the software and with the glyphs that give you some very useful features. Finally, I think that at this price, it has no competition. It's the first phone where, apart from the camera—and even there, not always—I don't lose anything compared to an expensive flagship, and I can easily do my work with 1/3 of the price without lags and ads. I believe its competitor is the Google Pixel 8a, but in terms of software and performance, the Nothing Phone 2a is better.

Having owned the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S for 4.5 years, which was a great phone and one of the last good and powerful phones from Xiaomi, I decided to switch brands as the unnecessary apps (bloatware) that Xiaomi had made the phone sluggish lately. So, I decided to look for companies that do not load their phones with unnecessary apps filled with ads that burden the phone's software. That's how I came across the Nothing Phone (2a). After watching some reviews on YouTube and various forums, I decided to take the risk and get a brand that was released just two years ago. I've had it for a few days now and I'm impressed. Let's take a detailed look at the positives and negatives of this specific phone:

POSITIVES
- Amazing battery, you can spend hours on the screen and the battery drains at a very slow rate. With 7-8 hours of screen usage watching videos, browsing social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., the battery reaches 30-35% and you still have a few hours of usage left. In short, it easily lasts a full day with heavy use.
- Speed and multitasking, the software of Nothing is COMPLETELY clean and only has the basic apps pre-installed and nothing MORE. Nowadays, all phones like Poco, Xiaomi, Honor, Realme, etc., come with 20 or more useless apps filled with ads that only burden the phone and annoy the user. At Nothing, as the name of the company suggests, you will find NOTHING unnecessary and NOTHING more than what you need to have a perfect user experience with the device. With 10 apps open, you can switch from the last to the first app and it will still be open just as you left it.
- Aesthetically different and beautiful, anyone who chooses to get this specific phone from Nothing will have a phone that is different from all the others and will stand out with its unique beauty.
- The camera of the phone, although not like the camera from Samsung's flagship phones, is excellent and much superior to the cameras of other phones in the same category and price range.
- Amazing speakers at the bottom and top of the phone that produce nice and clear sound.
- No issues with calls, I can hear and be heard clearly with Cosmote and I have signal even in places where I didn't with the Redmi Note 9S.
- Screen with vibrant colors and much superior to other phones in the same category, it makes you feel like you have a phone worth 500 euros and above.
- It has Android 14 and will receive updates for at least another 3-4 years according to Nothing.
- The app switching animations and scrolling are so smooth that it reminds me a lot of an iPhone.
- The 5G works perfectly without any issues.
- The NFC also works perfectly.

Now for the NEGATIVES
- It does not have a headphone jack, it does not come with a charger or case in the package. So you will need an additional 30-40 euros to get a case, a charger, and put on a screen protector. Of course, most phones in 2023-2024 now come without cases, without headphone jacks, and without chargers, so this is a general problem.
- Because the brand is not well-known in Greece, you will find it difficult to get cases and screen protectors for this specific phone, especially in rural areas. You will need to order online from Athens or Thessaloniki.

CONCLUSION:
If you want a phone that does the basics without lag, with incredible speed and amazing battery life, the Nothing phone 2a offers you that and more. Social media, email, movies, videos, and anything else your daily needs require will be covered in every way. I only didn't try gaming since I don't play games, so I have no opinion on that matter. However, the most important thing is what I mentioned above. You will have in your hands a phone with crystal-clear software and stock Android 14 without any unnecessary bloatware applications with ads like most companies do nowadays. Right now, it is on a Black Friday sale for 250 euros, while from here, including shipping, it can go up to 400 euros. I consider it the ultimate deal for those interested.
