    It works with a 5V USB cable. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all and I have it connected to draw power (only, obviously) from the desktop without any issues. Inside, there is a remote control with a CR2016 button battery (the thin one) for changing settings comfortably. The clock also takes two AAA batteries to keep the settings in case of USB power loss. It is stylish, entirely black in color, with a plastic gloss surface which may shine in strong daylight (at an angle), however, the indications are perfectly visible. It has three brightness levels and personally, the third, less bright one is the most convenient. The time is displayed only in green color while the rest are in white. The colors do not change. The package includes instructions for alarms, etc...
