Google has developed the Nest Secure Alarm System Starter Pack, a basic system for a safe and protected home!

The system consists of the Nest Guard, Nest Detect, and Nest Tag, which are controlled via the Nest App.

The Nest Guard is the device that features the alarm, motion sensor, and built-in Google Assistant. You can arm and disarm it via the Nest App from anywhere, using the Nest Tag that you simply tap on the Nest Guard control device or by asking Google Assistant with a simple voice command. This device also has a keypad that allows you to enter a code if you prefer the classic style.

Regarding the duration of time for arming or disarming the house before the alarm automatically deactivates, you can choose up to 5 minutes, with more time given to doors that are used more frequently compared to doors that are used less. You also have the option to set no delay, meaning the alarm will deactivate immediately when the door is opened. To avoid the risk of forgetting to arm the system, you will receive a notification on your phone.

The Nest Tag is recommended to be given to family members or trusted individuals. Set a schedule to allow someone to enter at specific times of the day when you are not home.

The Nest Detect is a sensor that detects both motion and the opening or closing of doors. It sticks to the wall and allows you to enable/disable the motion sensor. Additionally, the Nest Detect will notify you in various ways: when the door opens, you will hear an audible alarm, and at night, thanks to the pathlight notification, you won't trip in the dark as it will light your way. The alarm will not be triggered by dogs, which have free access, and Quiet Open keeps the alarm on while you open the door.

With the Nest App, you will receive a notification on your phone if the alarm is deactivated. You can check why the alarm stopped, if any window/door was opened, or if someone breached your home, and you will be able to notify the authorities.
