In the first stage, the activated carbon filter reduces chlorine and unpleasant tastes, as well as chemical organic compounds. The lifespan of the activated carbon filter is approximately 100 liters. In the second stage, the fibers create a filtration membrane that neutralizes 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa. The lifespan of the filter is at least 4,000 liters of water.
The Lifestraw Go 2-stage meets the strict quality standards of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
It does not require electricity or batteries and does not leave a residual taste as it does not use iodine or chemicals. After use, clean the filter by blowing air from the opposite side and rinse the bottle with water.
