I lifted my eyelids like stubborn blinds, only to have my gaze fall upon a woman with a hundred-dollar bag in one hand and a cheap gun in the other. I groaned and cursed myself for getting tangled up in this mess...

In Hard City, character creation is quick and simple, producing capable but flawed individuals and focusing on what sets them apart as they walk the fine line between right and wrong. The rapid resolution of actions emphasizes plot flow, while the sandbox environment provides impressive stimuli for adventures – battles against criminals, rescuing innocents, thwarting extortion schemes (or even starting them!), or uncovering corruption in the Mayor's office.

Wander the dangerous streets of a world filled with second-rate scoundrels, tough detectives, fearless journalists, gangsters, and femme fatales, all trying to survive in the iron jungle. With troubles around every corner, secrets on every lip, and a gun in every pocket, danger is never far away in the hard city.
