HIGH VIRGIN FIBER WITH LOW DISPERSION
The problem with transmission through optical fiber is that scattered light passes through the Toslink cable, but only after following a longer path, causing delay in its arrival. This delayed part of the signal prevents proper or even any decoding of the information flow. This reduced bandwidth is a measurable sign of light scattering from a fiber. The less dispersion a fiber has, the less distortion the final analog audio signal that reaches our ears has.
