The InLine® AX99100 card connects to a PCIe 2.0 x1 slot and adds two RS-232 serial ports with 9-pin connectors. It supports 5-, 6-, 7-, 8- and 9-bit data formats, five parity settings and a transmission speed of up to 115200 bps. Flow control can be hardware- or software-based, and each port has a 256-byte FIFO buffer for transmission and reception.

Power management is based on PCIe Power Management 1.2, with remote wake-up and IrDA mode supported. The card includes brackets for standard and low-profile cases.
