In ArcRunner for PS5, the mission takes place aboard a futuristic space station, where the goal is to reboot a hostile artificial intelligence. Players face waves of robotic enemies across randomly generated levels, from the dystopian metropolis of The City to the lush Eden Heights. You can team up with friends locally or online. A PS Plus subscription, sold separately, is required for online play.
Choose one of three characters: Soldier, Ninja or Hacker, each with different perks, weapons and abilities. At the end of each level, upgrades boost your character, while collected nanites can be used in the cryogenic chamber for permanent improvements, such as increased damage and health or extra slots for weapon modifications. As you explore, you can scan the environment and defeated enemies to discover new weapons, such as the Demolisher burst rifle and the Plasma Bow.
