The AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame comes with a special silicone foam gasket. This is placed on the processor's PCB, functioning similarly to the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Guard. During installation of the frame, the gap between the heatspreader and the aluminum frame is sealed by the silicone foam as it is pressed onto the board. This prevents thermal paste or liquid metal from coming into contact with the unprotected components of the CPU. I just installed it and it took me exactly 23 minutes including removing the water cooler. I could definitely have done it faster, and definitely could have been more stressed too though.
I put on my gloves, turned off the power supply from the back to 0, pressed the button that turns on the computer about 20 times, unplugged the power supply cable, opened the case from the side, unplugged the 4-pin of the water cooler, slowly unscrewed the water cooler base in a criss-cross pattern, cleaned off the previous thermal paste, removed the CPU, unscrewed the TUF AM5 bracket in a criss-cross pattern, cleaned off the remaining paste from the CPU, put the CPU back, placed the silicone with the red side down and facing north, screwed the bracket back on in a criss-cross pattern, applied X-shaped paste as well, screwed the water cooler back on in a criss-cross pattern, reconnected it to the motherboard, plugged the cable back into the power supply, pressed the power button twice, turned on the power supply to I and finally pressed the button to turn it on.
A BIOS message pops up, you set it up as you know and want, and then you close the case.

Έβαλα τα γαντάκια μου, έκλεισα το τροφοδοτικό από πίσω στο 0, πάτησα το κουμπί που ανοίγει ο υπολογιστής και 20 φορές, έβγαλα το καλώδιο του τροφοδοτικού, άνοιξα το κουτί από το πλάι, έβγαλα το 4pin της υδόψυξης, ξεβίδωσα αργά αργά, χιαστί τη βάση της υδρόψυξης, καθάρισα προηγούμενες πάστες, έβγαλα τη cpu, ξεβίδωσα χιαστή το πλαίσιο της TUF AM5, καθάρισα υπόλοιπες πάσες από cpu, έβαλα πίσω τη cpu, έβαλα τη σιλικόνη με το κόκκινο κάτω και να κοιτάει το βορρά, βίδωσα από πάνω το πλαίσιο χιαστί, έβαλα πάστα Χ και αυτό, βίδωσα χιαστί την υδρόψυξη, τη συνέδεσα ξανά στη μητρική, έβαλα το καλώδιο στο τροφοδοτικό, πάτησα δύο φορές το κουμπί που ανοίγει, άνοιξα το τροφοδοτικό στο Ι και πάτησα το κουμπί να ανοίξει επί τέλους.
Βγάζει ένα μήνυμα bios, το φτιάχνετε όπως εσείς ξέρετε και θέλετε και κλείνετε το κουτί.

Very beautiful product and easy to install. It's not rocket science to put it on. In an all white build, the black color is not visible. It protects against CPU bending after many years of use. Only time will tell in any case how useful the product is. You can see similar reviews on YouTube or from other experienced users who write on forums. It contains thermal grizzly paste inside (not liquid metal) so don't buy another one.

Our opinion is that we recommend it because it reduces the gap between the heating element and the aluminum frame and seals with the silicone foam, preventing the ingress of thermal paste or liquid metal into the unprotected components of the CPU. A positive point is that the frame distributes the contact pressure on the CPU evenly. The foam insert is optional when used with thermal pastes, but mandatory when used with liquid metal. It has a simple installation, and the cleanliness it provides during the whole process is worth it for the subsequent change of paste or cooler! Thermally, you will not see significant differences on AM5!
The only drawback, as Thermal Grizzly points out, is that it may cause you to lose the motherboard manufacturer's warranty, but this depends on the fine print of each company!

The logic of the contact frame is that it will ensure the CPU makes contact as well as possible and the cooler won't "miss" any point (resulting in reduced speed/performance of the processor or even causing damage). However, this is only a problem with Intel's LGA1700 sockets, which are not square (1151/AM4/AM5) but rectangular parallelograms (e.g., i5/i7/i9 generation 13/14). This specific processor does not need a contact frame as it makes contact perfectly. The only reason to buy this is to avoid dirtying the motherboard with thermal paste, which essentially doesn't matter since pastes do not conduct electricity, so you are not risking anything. Personally, I would say it is wasted money as there is no significant difference in temperatures as you would see in the Intel version.

Η λογικη του contact frame ειναι πως θα βεβαιωθει πως η cpu θα παταει οσο πιο καλα γινεται και η ψυκτρα δεν θα "χάσει" καποιο σημειο (με αποτελεσμα να μειωθεί η ταχύτητα/επίδοση του επεξεργαστή ή ακόμα και να πάθει ζημιά). Αυτο ειναι ομως μονο προβλημα στα socket LGA1700 της intel που δεν ειναι τετραγωνα (1151/AM4/AM5) αλλα ορθογώνια παραλληλόγραμμα (πχ i5/i7/i9 γενιας 13/14). Ο συγκεκριμένος επεξεργαστής δεν χρειάζεται contact frame καθώς πατάει ακριβώς. Ο μονος λογος για να το αγορασεις αυτο ειναι για να μην λερωσεις τη μητρηκή πλακέτα με θερμόπαστα, πράγμα που ουσιαστικά δεν πειράζει καθώς οι πάστες δεν αγουν ρευμα οπότε δεν ρισκαρεις κατι. Προσωπικά θα έλεγα πως ειναι πεταμένα λεφτά καθώς δεν υπάρχει ουσιαστική διαφορα στις θερμοκρασεις οπως θα εβλεπες στην εκδοση Intel.

Περιέχει πάστα μέσα της thermal grizzly (όχι υγρό μέταλλο) οπότε μην αγοράσεται άλλη.

Our opinion is that we recommend it because it reduces the gap between the heating element and the aluminum frame and seals with the silicone foam, preventing the ingress of thermal paste or liquid metal into the unprotected components of the CPU. A positive point is that the frame distributes the contact pressure on the CPU evenly. The foam insert is optional when used with thermal pastes, but mandatory when used with liquid metal. It has a simple installation, and the cleanliness it provides during the whole process is worth it for the subsequent change of paste or cooler! Thermally, you will not see significant differences on AM5!
The only drawback, as Thermal Grizzly points out, is that it may cause you to lose the motherboard manufacturer's warranty, but this depends on the fine print of each company!

For new builders:
The logic of the contact frame is that it will ensure the CPU makes contact as well as possible and the cooler won't "miss" any point (resulting in reduced speed/performance of the processor or even causing damage). However, this is only a problem with Intel's LGA1700 sockets, which are not square (1151/AM4/AM5) but rectangular parallelograms (e.g., i5/i7/i9 generation 13/14). This specific processor does not need a contact frame as it makes contact perfectly. The only reason to buy this is to avoid dirtying the motherboard with thermal paste, which essentially doesn't matter since pastes do not conduct electricity, so you are not risking anything. Personally, I would say it is wasted money as there is no significant difference in temperatures as you would see in the Intel version.

Η λογικη του contact frame ειναι πως θα βεβαιωθει πως η cpu θα παταει οσο πιο καλα γινεται και η ψυκτρα δεν θα "χάσει" καποιο σημειο (με αποτελεσμα να μειωθεί η ταχύτητα/επίδοση του επεξεργαστή ή ακόμα και να πάθει ζημιά). Αυτο ειναι ομως μονο προβλημα στα socket LGA1700 της intel που δεν ειναι τετραγωνα (1151/AM4/AM5) αλλα ορθογώνια παραλληλόγραμμα (πχ i5/i7/i9 γενιας 13/14). Ο συγκεκριμένος επεξεργαστής δεν χρειάζεται contact frame καθώς πατάει ακριβώς. Ο μονος λογος για να το αγορασεις αυτο ειναι για να μην λερωσεις τη μητρηκή πλακέτα με θερμόπαστα, πράγμα που ουσιαστικά δεν πειράζει καθώς οι πάστες δεν αγουν ρευμα οπότε δεν ρισκαρεις κατι. Προσωπικά θα έλεγα πως ειναι πεταμένα λεφτά καθώς δεν υπάρχει ουσιαστική διαφορα στις θερμοκρασεις οπως θα εβλεπες στην εκδοση Intel.

Δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι διαφορετικό και αυτό το contact frame για ΑΜ5.. εξομαλύνει τις πιέσεις από τα CPU Coolers (είτε αέρα είτε waterblock) και εξασφαλίζει ομοιόμορφη πίεση στον επεξεργαστή με αποτέλεσμα καλύτερη ψύξη αισθητά. I just installed it and it took me exactly 23 minutes including removing the water cooler. I could definitely have done it faster, and definitely could have been more stressed too though.
I put on my gloves, turned off the power supply from the back to 0, pressed the button that turns on the computer about 20 times, unplugged the power supply cable, opened the case from the side, unplugged the 4-pin of the water cooler, slowly unscrewed the water cooler base in a criss-cross pattern, cleaned off the previous thermal paste, removed the CPU, unscrewed the TUF AM5 bracket in a criss-cross pattern, cleaned off the remaining paste from the CPU, put the CPU back, placed the silicone with the red side down and facing north, screwed the bracket back on in a criss-cross pattern, applied X-shaped paste as well, screwed the water cooler back on in a criss-cross pattern, reconnected it to the motherboard, plugged the cable back into the power supply, pressed the power button twice, turned on the power supply to I and finally pressed the button to turn it on.
A BIOS message pops up, you set it up as you know and want, and then you close the case.

Μόλις το εγκατέστησα και μου πήρε ακριβώς με την αφαίρεση της υδρόψυξης 23'. Σίγουρα μπορούσα και πιο γρήγορα, σίγουρα μπορούσα και πιο αγχώδη όμως.
Έβαλα τα γαντάκια μου, έκλεισα το τροφοδοτικό από πίσω στο 0, πάτησα το κουμπί που ανοίγει ο υπολογιστής και 20 φορές, έβγαλα το καλώδιο του τροφοδοτικού, άνοιξα το κουτί από το πλάι, έβγαλα το 4pin της υδόψυξης, ξεβίδωσα αργά αργά, χιαστί τη βάση της υδρόψυξης, καθάρισα προηγούμενες πάστες, έβγαλα τη cpu, ξεβίδωσα χιαστή το πλαίσιο της TUF AM5, καθάρισα υπόλοιπες πάσες από cpu, έβαλα πίσω τη cpu, έβαλα τη σιλικόνη με το κόκκινο κάτω και να κοιτάει το βορρά, βίδωσα από πάνω το πλαίσιο χιαστί, έβαλα πάστα Χ και αυτό, βίδωσα χιαστί την υδρόψυξη, τη συνέδεσα ξανά στη μητρική, έβαλα το καλώδιο στο τροφοδοτικό, πάτησα δύο φορές το κουμπί που ανοίγει, άνοιξα το τροφοδοτικό στο Ι και πάτησα το κουμπί να ανοίξει επί τέλους.
Βγάζει ένα μήνυμα bios, το φτιάχνετε όπως εσείς ξέρετε και θέλετε και κλείνετε το κουτί.
Αυτά έκανα εγώ, ελπίζω να βοήθησα, καλό λιώσιμο παιδιά.
Very beautiful product and easy to install. It's not rocket science to put it on. In an all white build, the black color is not visible. It protects against CPU bending after many years of use. Only time will tell in any case how useful the product is. You can see similar reviews on YouTube or from other experienced users who write on forums. It contains thermal grizzly paste inside (not liquid metal) so don't buy another one.
