    The three little chickens are rattles and the other three make a sound like "chirping" when you press them, so it has sounds, colors, shapes, faces, pieces that assemble, etc., providing many stimuli to the baby as it grows. We got it when the baby was about 6 months old and not only does it keep them occupied for a while, but they gradually discover new ways to play.

    You need to be careful with the box as another review mentioned; I usually take it away when the eggs are emptied because the baby likes to shake it up and down in the air, which is dangerous. Other than that, it's a very nice toy, plus it easily fits back into its box and you can take it with you on a walk.
