The reverse osmosis membrane, with a pore size of 0.0001 microns and a capacity of 50 GPD, produces up to 8 liters of purified water per hour, with a recovery rate of 10–20%. The system removes contaminants, including heavy metals, chemicals, and microorganisms.

The filtration stages include a 5-micron polypropylene pre-filter for particles such as silt, sand, and rust; a granular activated carbon filter for chlorine and organic compounds; and a reverse osmosis membrane. The water also passes through activated carbon for final filtration and is enriched with calcium and magnesium.
