The school is full of cool beans, but our hero is not one of them. He used to hang out with them, but then things changed. Now everything is going wrong for him and he doesn't feel cool at all.

One day, however, something amazing happens to him. Something that will make him realize that kindness and goodness make you cooler than appearance.

If the first socialization group of a child is the family, the second is the school. And from around the age of six or seven onwards, school, classmates, and social status inside and outside the classroom become hugely important to children. Mainly because they learn there how they will stand in broader social groups in the future, building or breaking their self-confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, and solidarity.

Just like our bean: he wants to belong to the group of cool beans. But what is cool? Is it appearance? Talents? Athletic skills?

Jory John and Pete Oswald firmly believe that it is not. Cool is a reassuring wink, a hand that helps you get up, someone who will be by your side when you need them.
